USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals
Based on the USCCA’s official Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals curriculum, this course is a complete introduction for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. It covers conflict avoidance and situational awareness, home security and home defense planning, handgun basics, defensive shooting fundamentals, the physiology of violent encounters, and the legal aspects of using deadly force -- including what to do in the aftermath. The day concludes with a live-fire range session and a 50-round qualification course of fire. Students leave with the certificate of completion needed to submit most states’ CCW permit applications.
