NRA Basic Pistol
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the NRA’s introductory handgun course, designed to teach the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own, handle, and shoot a pistol safely and competently. Classroom instruction is followed by supervised live-fire practice and a nationally standardized shooting qualification on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Many students use this course as a foundation before pursuing personal-protection or concealed-carry training, and in some states it can satisfy part of a CCW permit’s training requirement -- check with your county, city, or state to confirm.
